Matthew Douglas Simpson, 21, of Sterling, died suddenly July 1 in Leesburg.
He was born Oct. 21, 1986, to Tammy L. Good, of Sterling, and the late Gary Simpson.
Survivors also include a brother, Michael Simpson of Sterling; his grandparents, Pauline Good and Robert and Frances Milligan; and his girlfriend, Brittany Brownlee, of Sterling.
He was buried in Sterling Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Adams-Green funeral Home of Herndon.
