'Mama Mia'

In this movie musical, please hold the movie; I’ve tended to like the movie musical. But “Mamma Mia!” just didn’t do it for me.

The story revolves around Sophie’s wedding and the arrival of her father.

Sure, I enjoyed some things, but dialogue was stretched and truly goofy, transitions were forced, and Pierce Brosnan -- let’s just say I wasn’t a fan.

As the film neared its conclusion, I was cringing at the laughable excuses for song and hoping they would end quickly.

Go to “Mamma Mia!” if you like Abba and want to enjoy the music. In that regard, this is enjoyable and you will have a good time, but it’s still not a very good film.
