Bed Bath and Beyond, a domestic merchandise retail chain store, will open at the new Fort Evans Plaza at the intersection of Fort Evans Road and Battlefield Parkway in Leesburg after Phase 2 of construction on the plaza is completed.

You Walk Away, a company working with families and people caught in the mortgage crisis, offers legal information and walks people through the foreclosure process. The company recently compiled information from 1,035 clients in May, which found that the majority of people in mortgage distress were people in their primary residence and not second home buyers. 2008 Monument Awards Gala
The Washington area's most prestigious home design competition will announce the 2008 winning residential builders and developers on Sept. 4 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Remodeling & home décor
The Remodeling and Home Décor Show, the largest event of its kind in the mid-Atlantic region, will be at the Dulles Expo Center Sept. 26-28. The show will feature more than 500 exhibits. Better Homes and Gardens will show a Green Living Tour featuring a 2,500-square-foot living space with an earth-friendly twist. The Living Green Home will show four functional eco-friendly rooms – a bedroom, kitchen, living room and laundry room – decorated with the latest green products, materials and appliances.
Interior designers seen on television channels such as HGTV will present. Two shopping areas will debut this year. The Green Zone will feature earth-friendly and bio-related products, services and technology, and The Must Have Marketplace will consist of products under $100.
The Dulles Expo Center is at 4368 Chantilly Shopping Center, Chantilly. The hours are 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Web-based training
Long and Foster has recently started to train its sales force through online meetings via live “webinars.” The tool provides live training meetings over the Internet. The training has three subjects -- ramping up agent Web sites to include links to the company search engine, a course to make real estate transactions easier and a third session that focuses on financial functions.
