Hurwitch qualifes for U.S. Women's Amateur

FRIDAY, AUGUST 1 2008

Sara Hurwitch, a 2005 Dominion High School graduate, qualified for the 2008 U.S. Women's Amateur tournament with her 3-over round of 77 at Chestnut Ridge Country Club in Lutherville, Md., July 14.

She earned one of only four available berths in the tournament, which will be held Aug. 4-10 at the Eugene (Ore.) Country Club.

Hurwitch, a three-time team MVP while with the Titans, has golfed collegiately at the University of Central Florida, but recently transferred to the University of Kentucky.
