Saddened by gallery closing

Last month, I learned that the owners of The Potomac Gallery have made the difficult decision to close their store after being in the heart of downtown Leesburg's historic district for 19 years. I know that I am writing on behalf of many when I say how saddened I am by this news.

I wish to publicly thank Gloria, Jack, Linda and Julie for the excellent service that they have provided over the years, and the myriad ways that they have generously helped groups and organizations in our local community. Additionally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for all that they have done to support both our emerging and established local artists. Ten years ago, they took a chance at featuring my work. Their support and assistance since then have been invaluable in helping me pursue my own career in the arts.
